Yesterday, I heard from someone (Mrunal) that they never read or wanted to know about Maha Bharatha, as Draupathi has 5 Husbands. And this someone is a reverent devotee of lord Krishna. Me being a big fan of Maha Bharatha and the stories of Maha Bharatha, I was not able to defend it. But now when I think about it, I feel very sad because if I am not able to convince a 24 year old who can greatly respects Hindu Culture that Maha Bharatha is a great scripture, how will I be able to convince people from other religions who doesn't know anything about MB. How will I ever convince my kids in future to get interested in it. I wanted to ask Mrunal that if she is a bit devotee of Krishna, shouldn't she atleast give benefit of doubt that Krishna approved Draupati's situation then there should be a reason behind it. Shouldn't she atleast read or get to know about Maha Bharatha before judging it. The lesson I learnt from this : I should start learning Maha Bharatha so well ...
